内容简介：

With near 600,000 aging bridges within the US state highway system, there is a need for system-level monitoring and data management system. We propose using commercial remote sensing and geospatial information (CRS-SI) technologies for bridge system management. Benefiting from recent advances in scanning laser and aerial imaging technologies, high-resolution imagery of bridges can be captured. Web-GIS (Geographical Information System) and smart phone technologies are integrated into a Web-based bridge data visualization and management system (Web-BGI) for data integration and display. The enabled integrated system represents a futuristic bridge management system that can provide bridge engineers with robust and state-of-the-art technologies to better manage bridges at the system-level.
