TORONTO 2012
THE 13th INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE OF THE INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOR TRAVEL BEHAVIOUR RESEARCH 第13届世界交通行为协会国际会议
JULY 15-19, 2012
ABSTRACTS DUE: OCTOBER 31, 2011
The 13th International Conference of the International Association for Travel Behaviour Research (IATBR) will be held July 15-20, 2012 in Toronto, Canada. The IATBR Conference series is recognized worldwide as the premier occasion for networking with fellow travel behaviour researchers, sharing cutting-edge research and development through high-impact presentations, learning about the latest techniques in the field, and defining the research agenda for the profession. The 2012 conference represents a return of IATBR to North America for the first time in 15 years. Toronto is a global city containing an incredibly diverse, cosmopolitan, multicultural city. It is a cultural and entertainment centre, and it is within easy travel distance of other major tourist venus such as Niagara Falls and the Stratford Festival. Toronto’s Pearson International Airport provides excellent North American and overseas airline connections.
The organizing committee seeks abstracts on all aspects of travel behaviour research for presentation at the conference. As in past conferences, papers will be presented in parallel sessions and workshops, with invited presentations in plenary sessions. In addition, poster sessions will be scheduled to accommodate the growing size of the conference and facilitate interactive discussions and networking among delegates. Papers for various sessions will be selected on the basis of extended abstracts (500-1000 words). Papers on a broad range of topics including, but not limited to, freight and passenger activity-travel behaviour analysis and modelling, time-space interactions, agent-based microsimulation modelling, integrated land use – travel demand – transportation modelling, behavioural responses to policy interventions, methodological developments, and survey methods and data collection are welcome. A conference website will be operational shortly containing detailed information about the conference schedule, registration fees, sponsorship opportunities, and location. Abstracts are due October 31, 2011. All abstract and paper submission and review processes will be handled through the conference website.
